Thank you for contributing to Combos For A Cure and for helping us reach our $50,000 goal–one meal at a time.
During the month of September, a portion of every combo meal purchased from one of our Wisconsin-based restaurants benefited the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation. Your generosity and support makes a big difference for those diagnosed with cancer in communities across Wisconsin!
$50,000 was presented by Cousins Subs to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation during a recent board meeting.
$50,000 will fund locally-led, patient-centered cancer research, care and advanced technology for better outcomes in cancer.
Thank you for helping us create more cancer-free tomorrows!
Thank you to all of our guests and local business partners for your patronage in support of Combos For A Cure. It is through this kind of community collaboration that we are able to make an impactful contribution to the fight against cancer.
– Justin McCoy, Director on Cousins Subs Make It Better Foundation Board
Cousins Subs is a critical teammate in the trenches. It is with their help that we can win the fight against cancer.
– Erin Hareng, Executive Director at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation
Our partnership with the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation (VLCF) began in June 2015 with our Make It Better Day initiative, in which we distributed more than 700 free lunches to cancer patients and caregivers at Aurora Cancer Care Centers and Vince Lombard Cancer Clinics throughout Wisconsin.
We chose to partner with VLCF for a second consecutive year on the Combos For A Cure fundraiser due to the organizations overwhelming success in providing much needed support to those with cancer in the community.
The Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation was established in 1971 after the great Coach Lombardi passed away at the young age of 57 from colon cancer. Through its more than 30-year relationship with Aurora Health Care, the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation has contributed more than $18 million to cancer care and research across Wisconsin. Donations to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation directly support innovative research and cancer care throughout the state.
