Driven at Heart Scholarship Contest

Application Requirements

To be considered for the Driven at Heart Scholarship, students must complete an application, provide written responses to key questions and submit supporting materials, including transcripts and letters of recommendation.

Applications open Feb. 1. Check back then for updates on future opportunities and be sure to review the Official Rules for full eligibility details.

• Four Wisconsin high school student-athletes will be selected to receive one of the following scholarships:
  
  • First Place Prize: $7,500 scholarship awarded to one male AND one female athlete.
  • Runner-Up Prize: $2,500 scholarship awarded to one male AND one female athlete.

• Be a second-semester high school senior
• Have participated in a WIAA-sanctioned sport during high school
• Hold a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale)
• Be actively involved in civic or community organizations or activities (grades 9-12)
• Be a college-bound student attending an accredited institution
• Be available to attend the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Milwaukee (or an alternative event if necessary)
• Consent to be photographed, recorded, and featured in promotional materials

• Following the application period, the Make It Better Foundation Committee, including Donald Driver and reps from the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame, will review all eligible applications, and the four (4) Finalists will be selected. 

• Each of the four finalists will be required to attend the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony held in Milwaukee. Passes for the event will be provided for the student and two adult family members. 
• Each of the four finalists will receive a travel stipend of $100 and hotel accommodations for themselves and up to two adult family members for the evening of the Induction Ceremony event. 
• If the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony does not take place, Cousins Subs will coordinate an alternative event for the four winners and their families.
